So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Thoughts For Buying Gifts For Friends

By Colin Gregor

Buying gifts for friends should be fun and pretty easy. After all, you are friends, you know them well and you should be able to easy find something they will like. However, there are times when buying something for a friend seems as difficult as buying for a stranger. This is often due to the fact that you may be over thinking what you should purchase. The following tips will hopefully make the process easier for you.

Make a list of those you will be buying for. Having this list will ensure that you do not forget anyone. Shopping can be hectic and it is easy to overlook someone or to think that you purchased something for everyone, when in fact you have not. You can use the list to cross off names as you finish shopping for them.

Spend some time thinking about any hobbies the friend has. If you have a friend that loves football, or crocheting for example, there are tons of items that you can choose from to buy. Choosing something that can be used for a hobby ensures that the gift you give will be used. Your pal will likely think of your thoughtfulness each time it is used.

Think about something that represents something that has meaning to the two of you. For instance a charm bracelet with a best friends charm that comes apart. You could each wear one. You might also get something for a sport that you both play. When you buy something like this, it comes along with built in memories of the two of you.

Think about things that your friend enjoys such as tanning, manicures, or going out to eat. Things like this are items that you can buy gift certificates for. These are always welcome. They enable your friend to have some pampering or time out of the house getting to do something that they enjoy.

Don't be practical. Buy things that your friend will love but will not by for themselves. Avoid items that they would buy anyway. Make it something fun and exciting. You know your friend and what he or she would love to have, use that information to find a wonderful gift.

If you are truly stuck, take along another friend to help. As they say, two heads are better than one. Having someone to brainstorm with may help you come up with just the right item. Wander around and check out various items until something jumps out as just the right one.

Relax and have a good time. Buying gifts for friends should make you feel good. Think about how happy you are going to make someone who you care about. Keeping their happiness in mind should make the process easier. Rest assured you will come up with something wonderful. Your friend will know that you are giving love along with whatever is in the package.
