So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Get A New ECM For Your Ram Van and Get A Smoother Ride and Use Less Gas

By Darrien Vangarrin

A car's PCM is a very essential component that ensures the fuel system performs properly. Say for example of a Ram Van PCM which is influenced by several factors that helps it determine the right amount of fuel it needs to feed the engine such as transmission gear, the quantity of air taken up by the engine as well as the throttle position just to mention a few. There is no better word that can describe this other than the brain of a car.

A Van by Dodge cannot function without a PCM which is at times referred to as either a computer or even an ECU. Despite the fact that a PCM is designed for durability, they eventually die or wear out. Although, when this occurs, it is possible to determine the root cause of the problem and get it fixed using certain procedures. In most cases, it always happens that sensors used for communication purposes by the system to send information to the computer has failed.

When the sensors fail, there will be no data that is needed to process specific functions. As an example, when the unit used for sending, the throttle, stops working, the Dodge Ram Van PCM will not have a source of information to tell it the amount of fuel needed by the engine in order to maintain the correct speed. When this happens, it is highly possible that your car will not start let alone work.

The air flow sensor is another critical component of a car that works together with the PCM. This sensor is mainly used to measure the amount of air in the engine; this information is then sent to the computer which then releases the correct amount of fuel into the engine which proportional to the air. When this sensor fails, the car cannot run smoothly due to the fact that the quantity of fuel sent into the engine by the ECU is not in the correct quantity.

This will obviously lead to the wasting of gas and thus money. The first thing a consumer usually thinks of when these kinds of problems arise is the computer or ECU. Just prior to ordering through the internet a Ram Van ECM, ensure that all its components are inspected.

A blown fuse is also directly related to a car's computer that has stopped functioning. Using fuses, a car's electronic components are protected from power surges. Although many homes make use of circuit breakers to protect their electronic appliances, fuses are just the same and can be found in homes as well.

While trying to determine whether your car's power train control module is faulty, another component to check out is the fuse box. The cars usually come with an operator manual that contains the diagrams of various fuses used in the car and the electronics they have been put in place to protect. This diagram can also be found on the cover of the fuse box.

Another possible problem with the PCM is the software. Just like any other personal computer, programs can get corrupted due to several reasons which might cause the PCM to malfunction; if this happens, the car must be taken back to the manufacturer or dealer to have it fixed and in most cases it is usually replaced.
