So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Replacing Your Grand Caravan Computer Can Save You Big at the Pumps

By Granderson Elliot

When we talk about operation of fuel system, the most important part is the car's PCM. You might ask why? Well, I'll tell why. For example, you own a Dodge Caravan, its ECM will tell the engine how much of fuel is needed just basing on the volume of air being used, throttle position and what gear transmission is in and basically just some other factors. In short, your Dodge Caravan ECU is the brain and holds the software that makes your van run right

Cars (e.g. the Dodge Caravan) basically do not just work in the absence of a PCM (Powertrain Control Module), also known as Engine Control Unit (ECU), or in layman's term, a car computer. Generally built to last and endure for years, there are several occasions that these devices will stop working.

You basically do not need to immediately replace the device because there are ways to solve these problems. Commonly, a broken sensor that sends information to the computer is just root cause of the problem.

Without these sensors, your car computer will not function because important information's are not delivered. To illustrate, we take sensors in your throttle. When these sensors do not deliver the information, the car computer in your Dodge Caravan will be clueless on how much fuel is to be released in the engine to be able to stabilize the proper speed. Thus, your car will most likely function or start at all.

your car's performance is the airflow sensor. Air flow sensor works by determining how much air goes inside your engine and then relays this information to the car's computer.

Encountering these kinds of problems will most likely bring you more problems and I am talking about financial problems. Gas wastage is the end result to these problems.

Usually, when a car's computer, also known as an Engine Control Module (ECM), cease to function, a blown fuse is the cause. Fuses protect electronics in an event of power surges much like the ones we use on our homes. It's just that most houses today use circuit breakers whilst car use fuses.

Your computer may stop functioning when a fuse is damaged or blown. To protect the car from power surges, fuses are installed to prevent this from happening. This can be compared to the ones we use in our houses with power surges. Instead of fuses, most houses use circuit breakers and cars on the other hand, use fuses.

Another important thing to be checked is the car computer's software. A ECM can be compared to a computer's software. Taking your ECU to the dealer is an option when experiencing these problems. Your dealer will plug your car's PCM to a computer to detect any anomalies in the software and this just might be the solution that you were looking for.
