So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

What Exactly Is A Chrysler PT Cruiser ECM?

By Paulino Carrins

Among all the reasons that can cause a car to fail, its computer system or PCM can just be one of them. If the PCM is found to be just fine, then one of its parts interrelated in function with the PCM must be found to have a problem. The most important component of a car that plays a vital role in its performance is your Chrysler PT Cruiser ECM or even computer which controls the amount of fuel used, air flowing into the engine and even the automatic transmission and shifting of these parts.

It is less likely that you can be wrong to think that the issue with the car roots to its computer. Some parts of a car work together to guarantee its performance in the right manner. Since ECM utilizes information it receives from other parts of the car, it can be deemed as one of these interrelated components that need each in order for it work appropriately. It analyses and interprets the information it receives from other parts so that it can also determine the correct and appropriate amount of fuel that needs to be sent into the car's engine; this transmission occurs automatically.

There are so many interrelated parts of a car that work together with each other to ensure that the car functions properly. For instance, the PCM is one of these kinds of parts that work along with others to ensure maximum functionality. It relies on the air flow system for critical information it has to interpret in order to find out the quantity of fuel that it must release into the car's engine. Automatic transmissions as well as fuel are the main factors affected by the amount of air that flows into the car's engine.

If this is the case with your PT Cruiser, you can expect to experience decreased performance which also leads to loss of money. An air flow sensor that is not working right will cause the computer to malfunction by sending it wrong information.

Vehicles with malfunctioning parts perform very poorly which eventually leads to wastage of money. This result because the car's computer does not receive the right information needed to make the right adjustments and thus the engine receives an incorrect amount of fuel.

When this happens, you are going to have a very bad problem with fuel mileage. More importantly you most likely will have premature engine failure because the wrong fuel mixture does a lot of damage to eternal car parts like the piston rings and even the pistons themselves. An often overlooked reason for the PCM to stop working is a bad fuse. Although it's more likely than not that a car's PCM goes bad before other components but it's not uncommon for a fuse to blow. Your entire car's electronics are protected from surges by fuses. These fuses are normally located in the fuse box which could be under the hood or under your dash.

Keep in mind that sometimes a simple refresh of the car's computer system can make a big difference in fuel economy.

Lastly, the PCM software that runs in the computer of the car can also malfunction either due to corrupted files or accidental reset of the computer system with the latter occurring as a result of pulling the fuse. You should see your car dealer for repair of the program which might be reloaded.
