So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Basic Steps In Making A Drink With The Help Of Commercial Ice Makers

By Bridgette Conway

Summer is equivalent to high temperatures. People try to do things to cool themselves. They either go to the beach or chill in air conditioned establishments. Some also stay at home and prepare a nice cold lemonade. Making a refreshing cold drink during the hot weather can be done easily by buying ice from any commercial ice makers in your area. If you want to make one, follow the easy steps below.

It is important to have the basic things that you will need to make your drink. These include fresh water, ice, some fresh lemons, and sugar. You will needing an approximate number of right to ten fruits in making one and a half cups of juice.

A suitable powdered lemonade that is available in convenience stores can become a replacement if you cannot find fresh lemons. The tools that you will be needing consists of plastic cups, a pitcher, a large mixing spoon, an apron, a juicer and tongs. After having the complete utensils and ingredients, then you are off to a good start.

Start by keeping the lemons warm before you take out their juice. That is the move that you have to do to make the squeezing of the juice easier later. One way to warm lemons is to place them inside the oven for a minimum of 20 until thirty seconds.

Another way of warming the fruit is to place them in a bowl with boiling water in it. Let them stay there for a minimum of thirty seconds. Start the juicing process by poking the skin of the fruit using a fork, but be careful not to poke all through the skin to its flesh.

You can also try another technique of removing juice from lemons. You can start by rolling them on a sturdy surface with the use of your palm. After doing that, you need to cut them into halves in a crosswise pattern. Put half of the fruit on the juicer and twist it to obtain some juice. You may simply use your hand if you do not have a juicer. Next, take away the seeds that were left inside the juicer.

If you do not want to waste the excess pulp on the bottom of the juicer, you can still scoop them. You may add them in the juice that you collected after removing the seeds. However, if you want to have a pulp free drink, then you will need to separate the pulp by using a drainer.

Meanwhile, your drink is nothing without its syrup. In making it, put half a cup of water in a saucepan. Wait for the water to boil and add one cup and a half of sugar. Cook the mixture over low heat until the sugar will dissolve completely. Next, remove the saucepan from the heat and mix it with the juice that you collected before. Stir thoroughly and wait until the mixture cools down.

Add a tablespoon of lemon zest to the mixture for a better taste. The next step is to combine the lemon syrup and the water inside a pitcher. Adjusting the sweetness can be done after you taste it. Refrigerate the finished product or add some ice from commercial ice makers.
