So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Limits Set to a Mattress Sale & Its Success

By Rob Sutter

Sales seem to be the make or break point of many consumers wanting to do business with them. Even though this is true, I believe that there a number of factors which accompany it. These stores can bring about the best business possible but it's not going to be done unless there are prices that people want to buy goods at. A mattress sale seems to follow the same sort of mindset of keeping prices at an attractive level but there is more to sustaining business than that.

I'm all for a mattress sale taking place, mostly because it allows more business to be seen. However, the sale prices are only seen for a limited time, which means that consumers must act fast. This idea of hustle brings a sense of enjoyment to even the most hesitant shoppers as they want to be able to reap the benefits before they fade. Make certain that there are many benefits to consider, companies like Sleepy's containing many of them to take into consideration.

It's clear that these sales contain a great level of importance but there are limits, aren't there? Sales that are done constantly may seem to lose their value and while this is attractive for consumers, who's to say that people don't lose to these as a form of excitement? For instance, if you eat chocolate cake each night after dinner, doesn't that particular dessert start to lose the charm it had before? This may be a different degree but I feel like the same principle applies.

I think it goes without saying that sales, while important, have to remain temporary and there are reasons for it. One of them is because sales are meant to attract people initially so that they may continually do business with the company, even after normal price points come about. However, can you imagine what it would do to a company if markdowns constantly occurred? If anything, I think it would mean a world of bad for businesses and those who make their livings with them.

Doing a mattress sale can build trust with your consumer base, but that's about as far as it should go. To say that a business can thrive off of cut prices, unless it's the design, would be a lie because they have to make profits. They have to sustain themselves and I cannot imagine many businesses being able to do so if they're constantly making losses. Sales deserve to be seen but I think that they should be done sporadically and not become part of the norm.
