So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

With this kind of probable scenario, it pays to help some kind of additional protection by way of concealable body armor.

Concealed armor can be either be light heavy depending on your needs. Nonetheless the prime importance in buying concealed protection is the ability to stop projectiles. Kevlar and Kevlar composites have been the mainstay of light armor and can be inserted between the body and clothing due to its versatility and light weight.

Therefore should you be out in the market looking for that extra protection for yourself or someone, then there are a few things to keep in mind before you open up your wallet and buy. Most will buy based on popularity or cheaper price, but this should not always be the case. Read on for a few other things to consider when making your armor purchase.

General evidence that you can look for that the armor you are buying has the necessary safety standards and safety testing can be done by looking for proper labels. Labels on the unit you buy should include manufacturer name, date, lot number and also protection rating. Definitely do not buy one that has been five or more years just sitting there since standards would have changed since then. Should you find the proper label and information this can go a lot to determining that what you are buying is the real deal and something that has not been made in China.

When looking at the vest or armor you are buying make a thorough check on the carriers within. A carrier is a basically a pocket wherein ballistic panels and paddings are held in place. Give it a cursory tryout by trying it on and moving around to see if it is comfortable or not. You should feel flexible and not too bulky.

Straps are also an important piece or item on your future purchase. Check that these are all adjustable and flexible. Carefully check the stitching alongside the straps to make sure that they are reinforced and properly pressed into the material. Some stitches can actually protrude and give you an uncomfortable rash or itch when your skin is pressed against it for long periods of time. Strap buckles are also important. Mostly made of plastic or high grade aluminum, make sure that the serrated teeth on these buckles are not worn.

Another factor in your fitting will be what you gender will be, whether you are male or female. Although some armors have no gender distinction, other brands do. It is a matter of scoping out and checking out the available brands out there. Body build will also factor into overall comfort when you wear it.

Thus in your next concealable body armor purchase these discussed factors should be considered. Although there may be other things to consider, these things are in general very much prime considerations. In whatever decision you do therefore when it comes to safety products always take the necessary extra care in choosing that product for yourself.
