So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Everything You Should Find Out About Setting Up Natural Backyard Putting Greens

By Jeffery M. Bell

If you are a golfer, having a backyard putting green in your home is a real luxury. This enables you to be able to play golf, just like you would on those golf courses that you often visit. But the biggest advantage of having this thing is that it helps to make your backyard look much more attractive, particularly if you choose to invest on those putting greens that come with well-manicured turf.

Building A Putting Green

You can choose to build the putting green all on your own, but take note that the process could be a bit tedious, particularly if you are someone who does not have that much knowledge in carpentry. There are 2 kinds of putting greens to choose from, artificial and natural. The artificial ones make use of synthetic grasses while the natural putting greens are made up of real turf. There are advantages and disadvantages that come with each type of putting greens, although for people who want to save some money, the artificial backyard putting greens are highly recommended.

Natural Putting Greens

Natural putting greens are usually built on a sandy soil base and because sand isn't water friendly, it's important that you build proper drainage on the putting green. Other kinds of bases won't be effective since sandy soil is the only base that could help to maintain the shape and the structure of the greens, thus, it'll be able to accommodate heavy foot traffic.

It's also important that you maintain the greens and keep it healthy all the time, because the grasses could die if they're not taken care of well. Mowing and watering are required on a consistent basis if you decide to build backyard putting greens that are made of natural turf.

Advantage Of Natural Putting Greens

As you know by now, having a natural putting green in your backyard can be a tedious process. You will need to spend a lot of time in mowing and watering the plants and there are even instances where you need to fertilize the greens or apply pesticides just to keep it healthy.

But the great thing about having this kind of backyard putting greens is that it looks really attractive. If you've got this in your backyard, the value of your home property will greatly increase if ever you decide to sell it in the real estate market. You could also hire a landscape artist for the installation of the putting green. They can come up with a well-manicured putting green for you and they could also add some ornamental plants to it in order to make it appear much more attractive.

Having backyard putting greens in your home comes with a lot of advantages. So even if you end up spending quite a huge amount of money for it, doing so is certainly worth it. If you choose the natural putting greens, make sure that you hire a professional for the installation because the process is just too complicated.
