So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Lincoln Park Auto Repair Company Provides Tire Rotation Service For Locals For Longer Tire Life

By Kurt Lavecchia

Like most other items, tires have grown much more expensive during the past decade. Most vehicle owners are more interested in getting more miles from their tires. A Lincoln Park auto repair company offers tire rotation to help ensure tires provide the longest service and safest operation of one's car.

The vehicle's front tires will wear at a different rate than those in the back. Rotation can help to ensure a better and more even wear. The tires that steer a car turn and create more friction and heat. Tires on the rear axle generally wear longer than those on the front.

Rotating tires front to rear equalizes the wear of tire tread and maximizes the tire's life. Suspension and alignment of a vehicle can cause wear patterns to develop. Rotation generally involves moving tires from the front axle to the back but they are kept on the same side for the life of the tire.

Some vehicles have front and rear tires that are of different sizes. On these vehicles, the owners can have the tires switched from one side to the other, but they cannot be switched from front to back. Additionally, some tires are unidirectional or have asymmetrical tread the tires cannot be rotated. This case is very rare.

Owners should find a schedule provide by the automobile manufacturer printed in the owner's manual. In general terms, this interval is between 5,000 and 10,000 miles. By heeding these directions, owners ensure the longest life of the tires on the vehicle.

Although one could do this job for himself, lug nuts must be tightened using a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specification. Improper tightening of the nuts, can damage alloy wheels. Most owners prefer allowing a Lincoln Park auto repair service take care of this job.
