So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Keeping Your Car Heater Warm With Help From Your Lincoln Park Auto Repair Company

By Selena Chery

Your car's heater is one of the most important parts of a vehicle in the cold weather. Not only does it keep car passengers from freezing, it makes it possible to see by keeping the windshield clear of snow, ice, frost, and condensation. Understanding how vehicle heaters work can help you stay safe and warm this winter, and your Lincoln Park auto repair service is there to help.

A car's heater works through a small radiator within your cooling system. It fits inside the passenger compartment and hot coolant is pumped through this radiator (called a heater core). A heater fan blows the warmth to you or your windshield.

The thermostat in your motor is an essential part of the heat system. This is what keeps the coolant hot enough to heat your car interior. Thermostats work by closing off the circulation of coolant (to make it warm). Circulation is returned when a thermostat opens. However, an old thermostat may sometimes stick open and prevent heaters from operating.

A bad thermostat in your engine is never a good thing. When your mechanic services your cooling system he may replace the thermostat. It is an inexpensive part and can save a car from overheating. Overheated motors are a major cause for extensive engine repairs.

Whenever you check your vehicle oil, make sure to check the radiator coolant level. If you develop a leak it could cause a breakdown. In addition, low levels of coolant can make the heater stop working.

Your Lincoln Park auto repair shop performs complete winterization services. They will clean the cooling system, replace antifreeze, wipers, and inspect all of the car's vital components. It is not expensive to have a car serviced for winter. However, it can be very expensive if you do not have winter service and end up stranded on the highway.
