So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

By Qandishah Brown

You have to agree that potatoes are something that everybody loves. In fact, these root crops are so well loved it has become a staple in our diets and we have them in so many different ways. Some people fry them, bake them, mash them and even hash them. You can have them with a dip or plain salted; the options are really quite endless. Taters are not only good; they are also wonderful source of carbohydrates. The best place that you can get your potatoes from is Idaho.

What started out as a simple planting by some missionaries in Idaho has turned into an entire industry for this state. They proudly advertise and market having the best potatoes around. In fact, they even have a commission to make sure that this industry is well taken care of. Among the many things that the Idaho potato commission dose is to organize fairs and festivals that promote their potatoes.

Aside from the spudfest there are other fairs that you can visit too; particularly craft fairs and shows. These are always a lot of fun to visit and it also provides a great opportunity to make some money. You can use your imagination and creativity all you want in events such as these. Craft fairs and shows in Idaho are not only for those who stay there. It is open to anyone and everyone interested in these things, which means you too can join in on the fun.

The best way to get into an Idaho craft show or fair is by gathering all the details that you need ahead of time. This will include talking to local officials and organizers so that you can register and prepare for everything early enough. It may not always be easy to get the information you need so start asking early.

If you are having second thoughts about having to track down people to get the details, you have another option. An online events calendar can be your best friend at this time. It will provide you with all the events that are already lined up and you can just get the details from there.
