So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

By Neal Stark

Holidays to Alcudia are ideal for those who want a more relaxing holiday away from the particularly crowded and lively resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf. It is safe, charming and has one of the nicest beaches in the island.

Originally a small fishing village of the same name, Alcudia came to be a popular resort and is now home to one of the nicest and longest beaches in the island. It is situated in a sheltered bay providing a particularly safe and pleasant place for the family. There is also plenty to do in the area and there is no shortage of more traditional activities and attractions.

You can find a great diversity of restaurants and accommodation options in the area and the majority of the hotels overlook the bay, affording particularly pleasant views of the mountains beyond. There is the nightlife in the town which mostly centres around the hotels and there are several discos as well. You will have no difficulty in finding some great restaurants to taste some of the local flavours or if you prefer sticking to international cuisine, you should be able to find something to suit every taste.

It is a particularly picturesque old Roman village and definitely worth seeing.

There are plenty of different types of restaurants to choose from too, from great local cuisine to various international tastes. There is also a fairly active nightlife in the town are generally centres around the hotels and there are some discos also in the resort. More traditional venues include a weekly market and you can also visit the old town of Alcudia which is about three kilometres away from the resort itself.
