So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

New Home Redesign

By Peter Parker

Congratulations on that new house that you just got. Now, we are sure you are looking for some new ways to fill it out. However, before you start with a project on decorating, you need to ask yourself a number of questions. First of all, what type of living environment would you like to stay in? We know that you just put a down payment on the house, but how much are you able to afford on decorating this newly acquired home? As we continue this article, we are going to run you through some questions and give you some tips.

First of all, we need to start this paragraph by going over some guidelines with you. If you are renting the home or it is an apartment, then you need to know what your rental limitations and guidelines are. For instance, some tenants do not allow you to repaint the walls, while others do not mind what you do. Next, obviously, if you do not plan on staying in your home for too long, then you should not go all out on it. However, if you plan on spending quite a bit of time in your new area, then we highly recommend you putting all you have into it. Once you decorate a home, it is going to stay that way. In each room, what type of activities do you want?

But with a brand new home you have nothing there and you own it. So you can make any changes you want too. A nice place to start is on the windows. Picking some curtains that will go with the design that you are hoping to accomplish in your new bare home!

The furniture that you pick to place in your home should go along with the curtains you have placed. Or you will have furniture already and have made sure your brand new curtains do not clash at all. Remember to pick out something you and friends will feel comfortable in, there is no use buying furniture that is uncomfortable. Also try and get enough furniture so that everyone will have a place to sit.

You can't forget about the other furniture that will be placed in rooms. Try a nice coffee table that goes with the furniture or some lamps that will make the lighting intimate but nice. It will all depend on the theme that you are hoping to accomplish with which styles you will pick out.

A great addition to any house is an area rug. These will add a sense of warmth and comfort to even the blandest of rooms. Pick out a rug that not only goes with the theme, but if you can get away with it add in a splash of color with the area rug you pick. These area rugs are great in any room of the house, so buy more than one, and make sure they go with the theme you want.
