So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

A Charm Bracelet For A Charming Wedding

By Sarit Simayof

For those brides that are busy planning weddings, making a decision as to what to get the bridesmaids and maid of honor is sometimes a last minute type of purchase. There is a very practical yet beautiful gift option to consider and that is a charm bracelet. A charm bracelet is a great all round piece of jewelry plus it can also commemorate their participation in your wedding.

Selecting the perfect style of charm bracelet for each member of the wedding party depends on the style of the wedding as well as the individual person?s likes and dislikes. Flat curb style links or more ornate triple or double types of bracelets are all appropriate as gifts.

A charm bracelet can be made of several different types of metals or even combinations. Sterling silver, gold or platinum are the most common forms of bracelets and each has their own beauty. Silver and platinum charm bracelets are ideally suited to silver charms, while gold charms look great on gold bracelets.

It is also possible to use a silver and gold bracelet with contrasting links. With these types of bracelets either silver or gold charms can be added, or even charms of both metals will work well. The dual metal is also a good option depending on the other jewelry that the women and girls will be wearing during the wedding.

Deciding how many charms to put on the charm bracelet is the next step. It is a great idea to start each member of the wedding party off with a charm that represents your special day. This could include a church charm, wedding bells, champagne bucket and bottle, as photo frame charm or even a charm with the initials of the couple and the date of the wedding.

Silhouettes or three dimensional styles of figurines to represent the bride and groom are always a great addition to a wedding charm bracelet. Shapes for the silhouette style charms can be teardrop or round, both which can be engraved with information about the couple or the wedding date.

After this charm you may wish to add a unique charm that represents each of the individual bridesmaids and the maid of honor. A charm that captures something they enjoy, are interested in or that is a hobby is a terrific addition to the charm bracelet. Adding more than one charm makes the bracelet look more ornate, or it can be left simple for an elegant appearance.

Although a charm bracelet isn?t a traditional gift for brides to give it is a very good idea. These gifts are so unique and so original that the wedding party will know you took the time to get just the perfect gift for them. Keep in mind that you can also continue to add to the charm bracelet, making it a wonderful starting point for developing a charm collection.
