So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Muffler & Exhaust

By Lindsay Parker

Taking a road trip can be a lot of fun, but not if the enjoyment is short lived by loud noises from your muffler. It can cause a horrible ringing in your ears as well as making it difficult to talk to other passengers. Besides the loud noises there are other reasons why it is important to keep your eyes on your muffler and exhaust.

Mufflers make it more enjoyable to drive by reducing engine and exhaust noise. If you can suddenly hear the noise of your engine you might have to have your exhaust system checked out. Your muffler is attached to the exhaust pipe and isn't just in charge of reducing sound but it is also key in keeping deadly gasses out of your car.

If you may think that your muffler is broken you need to take it somewhere to get it checked out. Knowing that the exhaust can enter the passenger compartment makes it more serious to check this out.

Sometimes your can get loud engine noise checked out and find out that your muffler and exhaust system are fine. If you want your car to be quieter you need to invest in a new muffler. One that makes sure that driving is something pleasant and not so painful.

You can also get a hole in your muffler that will cause the same loud noise. This can be fixed with a patch if it isn't too big.

Cars that have a lot of muffler and exhaust problems can be those that are kept for long periods of time in garages. When you start driving them get them checked out immediately so that you can save money and avoid making them worse.

A lot of times people will think they are okay because they don't hear any of these noises. But that doesn't mean that you might not have an exhaust problem. You can still have leaks that are just as dangerous because they can leak into the passenger compartment.

If you live in an area where you experience hard winters or a lot of salt, your muffler and exhaust need to be checked more often. The cold weather will leave condensation in the exhaust which never is hot enough to evaporate anything. This causes your exhaust to corrode.
