So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Fashion Aprons To Add To Day To Day Outfits And Kitchen Wear

By Chloe Gib

The apron has returned to the trend world in a huge way as day and evening wear in recent couturier collections. These are not items being worn in kitchens but rather those to don during the day and night on the streets. While people are becoming increasingly conscious about what they wear as fashion aprons, it's the apron in street wear that's all the rage right now. For this reason, when shopping for these garments for kitchen purposes, it's helpful to consider how they'll translate into day wear too.

There's a huge resurgence of the sixties and retro sunglasses, Mary Jane shoes and ultra minis are all important to add to wardrobes. However, it's also being seen abundantly in the kitchen apron. There are vintage versions and since buying vintage is one of the trendiest things to do right now, these are a fantastic choice.

The apron is also the key garment in day and evening wear. It's the accessory for outfits featuring wrap skirts and pinafores with retro feels. In trend history, the apron has often played an important part of day wear so it's no surprise that it's coming back in this way.

Because they're extremely recent additions to the trend world, they're not easy to find in the ready to wear collections of the designers bringing them back. Those who want to add them to their personal collections would have to spend plenty of money purchasing them from the actual haute couture collections. There is a less costly way to get them, though.

There are stores which specialize in the trendy apron for kitchen wear and they are far less costly. Creative dressers will easily be able to find an apron that works equally well in the kitchen and on the street. Remember, though, that they're being softened by the pairing of flimsy fabrics.

This means chiffon is the ultimate addition to the ruffle apron for evening wear. They can also be worn as part of a twenties style outfit since that era is also important at the moment. Since prominent designers are turning to the kitchen apron to extend their lines, it's not difficult to find that perfect piece.

Towel aprons and designer versions are not just garments with special dyes or prints. Back ties are concentrated on, as are cuts and shapes, so some interesting items can be found. Fashion aprons will turn the kitchen into a glamorous room to wear trends. They're also a trendy garment to don during the day.
