So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

For you to tie the headdress, you must have a long piece of cloth. The ideal length of the cloth should be three feet and one foot in width. When buying the cloth do not limit yourself to this length. It is better to have is long than short as you can always cut to the length you need. If it is too short you will have to buy another one.

The first step is to have the fabric spread out on a flat plane. The next is to roll the fabric inwards all on its length. This is when you start wrapping it round your head. This is done diagonally while you hold the other end with the free hand. As you swathe it about the head ensure it is smooth to avoid any bumps and creases.

When you have wrapped on one side of the head, twist the last bits of the fabric. The twisted ends are then moved downwards towards the forehead to create a crease that resembles a bump. This procedure should be repeated until all the fabric is used. When your fabric is used up, insert the ends under the crown of the wrap and hold it in place with a bobby pin.

The turban is worn in different styles. Each of these styles has a unique way of tying it. You should find out the style you want so that you can learn the right procedure to tie. Unless you are following the right method of tying your style of choice, you will not have the desired result. It may be necessary to make several attempts before you get it right.

Women love to have beautiful hair for different occasions. However, there are times they are not able to have the hair in the condition they want. They can use the headscarf to hide the poor condition of the hair and still look fabulous. If you have a number of scarves of assorted colors and patterns, you can wear them to complement your outfits for various events.

Your success in learning how to tie turbam will be determined by the material you use. Though there are various materials to use, cotton is the best as it is light and soft to the skin. It is perfect for use in warm areas as it does not retain heat that would make the wearer uncomfortable.
