So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Crazy Irish TShirts Don't Always Have The Impact You Think They Will

By Harold Kent

I am sure you like to think of yourself as a bit of a jokester, right? You make your friends laugh sometimes, and you have enjoyed your moment in the spotlight when it comes to entertaining your personal circle of comrades. Well, even if it is just on a subconscious level, you've decided to buy some Irish party tshirts on the Internet and up the comedy ante for Saint Patrick's Day this year. When your shirts arrive, you are bubbling with excitement at what your friends are going to think when you wear one of these tees when the night of the Emerald Isle arrives.

Tonight is the night that you plan on getting some serious laughs. You have found one of the greatest Irish comedy shirts you have ever seen, bought it, and are currently wearing it across your chest like some sort of breastplate made of cotton and comedy. You are going to make your friends double over with laughter and strangers buy you booze...and let's not forget about how the girls are going to swarm all over you. What's a more perfect ice breaker than Irish tees on Saint Patrick's Day?

You open the door to the old Irish pub with a flourish, stride in, and expect to be worshipped like a deity come to earth. That doesn't actually happen, so you decide to be patient and let the outrageous laughter happen organically. You see your friends, get the meet-and-greet of the night over with, and settle down for some good conversation...which you're certain will focus mainly on how funny your Irish party t-shirt is. A few drinks go by, and while you get a few laughs from your chums through conversation, people are still completely ignoring the comedy gold on your shirt.

As the night drags onward, you can't help but think about the lack of comments you've gotten. You have the best sense of humor in the whole room, so if anyone is going to be able to pick out the best Irish t shirts, it's going to be you...right? What if you don't have the best sense of humor, though? What if you're not just being drunk and paranoid, and people are laughing at your weak attempts at bar room comedy behind your back?

If your cool Irish tshirts are a big, wet flop you shouldn't fret about it too much. These things happen from time to time, and it isn't your fault. Humor is subjective and it relies heavily on the interaction of two human beings to make it work sometimes. There are many instances when you have to lead a person to a punch-line and a t-shirt just can't do that. If you buy an Irish t-shirt for Saint Patrick's and no one is laughing at it, at least you bought a shirt that you like. Sometimes that's all you can hope for.
