So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Getting Good Gas Mileage Is Done By Your PT Cruiser PCM

By Paulino Carrins

When troubleshooting a car for problems, you can put into account its computer or ECU as a cause of the problem. If not, at least some of the car's parts that it works with can be found at fault. Control of fuel, air flow into the engine as well as automatic transmissions; the functioning and even operation of a PT Cruiser PMC or it's computer, also known as the brain of the car.

The major player in the operation and also functioning of a car is its computer or ECM that is known to influence critical factors such as the automatic shifting and transmissions, fuel and even the engine's flow of air.

You can take an example of the ECU which depends on the information it receives from smaller sub-systems for it to make a major decision that is wholly dependent on what is received. Just like the way a computer operates when it is fed with garbage by producing just that, the car's ECM will just do the same.

When the air flow sensor feeds the power train control module with garbage (wrong information when it is not working correctly), it will also output garbage by sending the wrong amount of fuel into the car's engine. This means that the car will neither be able to maintain the correct speed nor shift in the right direction.

A car with a malfunctioned computer will not perform as expected by failing to maintain the right speed. The air flow sensor of a Dodge Grand Caravan is used to find out the amount of air that is entering the car's engine. For optimal utilization of the fuel, the information is sent to the car's computer for interpretation and the amount of fuel released into the engine is adjusted automatically on your PT Cruiser.

A decrease in performance is realized when the car's computer does not function as expected of it and this in turn leads to loss or wastage of money. This is clearly shown by the fact that a malfunctioned air flow sensor will send the computer wrong information that will cause it to release the wrong amounts of fuel either in excess or less amounts that is more than enough or too little respectively.

In addition to all the problems mentioned, it also affects the car's fuel mileage negatively and cause damage to both internal and external parts of the car. The internal part that can be damaged is the engine whereas the external part is the piston as well as it rings.

A bad fuse on your PT Cruiser can also lead to an improper functioning of the varied components of a car with the computer being the one mainly affected. Power surges are known to damage electronic devices and this is the reason fuses are used to protect them from such damages.

Fuse boxes in cars are normally used to hold the fuses with some being located either under the dash or even the hood in the car. Finally, you might just want to have the PCM software diagnosed for any corruption in their code.
