So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Change Your Living Space With An Area Rug Set And Other Ideas

By Serena Price

Everyone falls into ruts sometimes and becomes bored or depressed with life. This may be due to circumstances or emotional issues, but it may be the result of monotony. Sometimes you just need a change. Once way to make things feel new and different is to re-decorate your living space. Buy a new area rug set, or paint a room. Below you will find a few suggestions for transforming your home to make it feel new.

1. Get carpeting of purchase rugs. Changing or adding rugs or carpeting can be a great way to improve on a room. Carpeting is generally for those who own their homes and are willing to spend a lot of money, as it can be pricey. If you live in an apartment, are short of funds, or your landlord doesn't allow carpeting, consider buying rugs. They can be switched around or taken away whenever necessary.

2. Hang artwork. Sculptures, paintings, and other forms of art can give your living space a personal touch. If you create your own work as a hobby or professionally, display it in your home. If you know any artists, commission a personal piece for your home and pay them for it. If neither of these things is an option, you can buy art online, at art fairs, or in galleries.

3. Get a new piece of furniture. Even one new item, like a sofa or a chair, can add a new vibe to a room. If you look around you can find furniture for great prices. You may find things online, or take advantage of sales in physical stores. Check out the thrift stores, too! Many people even make great finds by picking up discarded furniture that others have thrown away on the curb. This can be risky because of bedbugs, but you can sometimes find great stuff.

4. Rearrange a room. This takes little to no money. By simply switching around the order of the furniture in a room, you can completely change the vibe. If you don't like the change, you can just put things back the way they were.

5. Organize and reduce clutter. If you have piles of old toys or stacks of books, consider finding ways to store and organize them. You will feel less stressed if your space is less cluttered.

6. Paint rooms or walls. Painting might sound like a job that should only be done professionally, and this is usually true if you want your whole house painted. But one room, or even one wall, could be a manageable project for a novice painter. Pick a color you love, and try a small room, like the bathroom. Or, paint just one wall of your living room in a color that compliments the one that is already there.

These are just a few ideas for giving new life to your living space. A new paint color, an area rug set, or a piece of art can help to create a new vibe in your home. This can help you to break out of a rut, and to feel re-energized. Try a few of these suggestions, and find out whether a change is what you need.
